Hey, guys! My name is Katie Whiddon. I am 24 years old, engaged to my soulmate, mommy of 5 amazing children ages 5 and under(yes I have my hands full, yes I know how that happens ๐Ÿ˜‰, and save the good ole “bless your heart”). I was born and raised in south Georgia, lived in Japan for almost two years during my teen years and Florida for a couple months when I got back from Japan, but I am now a proud citizen of the state of Texas -and it’ll be staying that way unless someone wants to buy me a six bedroom house on the beach or in the mountains, or both. I love Netflix, the occasional glass of wine, running my mouth on social media, and minding my own business out in the real world (some people call people like me an โ€œintrovertโ€. ๐Ÿ™„ I like my view better). But my greatest passion is being a mother and learning everything there is to know about parenting.

I first started off blogging on Admirably Diverse, six whole years ago at the age of 18 ๐Ÿ˜ญ, when I found out my oldest child was going to be born without arms or legs. I shared part of my story on parenting forums and on Facebook and a lot of people were very intrigued and wanted to know more, so I decided to start that blog to take everyone along with my pregnancy and my son’s life. My journey with my oldest son has been so amazing. From learning early in his life that he IS going to be physically capable, all the kisses and cuddles, watching him learn how to feed himself, seeing him “walk” for the first time, then to his videos going viral and being interviewed by Ellen’s staff (we didn’t get picked), Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain, our local news, and being featured in countless articles across the entire world for my son’s amazing capabilities and ‘can do’ attitude. Its been the best ride of my life and I am so proud to be his mom.

So, now I’m here at A Little Piece of Mom. My new journey. My new special place. My new word vomit release blog. I hope you enjoy!
